IATF 16949 certification is the standard set by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), for all automotive suppliers to adhere to. Rigorous controls have to be in place through all steps of the product realization process to ensure new program launches are not delayed and that existing production be a continuous flow of parts, near seamless as assembly lines CANNOT be shut down.
